Unless otherwise stated, meetings of the Stark County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society are held at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month in Room 107 of the Trinity United Church of Christ at 3909 Blackburn Road Northwest in Canton, OH. Social time is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors are always welcome.
January 9: Society Business Meeting. – There will be no program for this meeting. We will be addressing various society issues, reviewing the last year and looking at issues that we will face in the new year. All members are strongly encouraged to come and participate.

March 13: Tom Snosnowski: The Ethic History of Canton
April 10: The History of North Canton – Kathy Fernandex, the director of the North canton heritage Society, will be presenting a program on History of North Canton
May 10: Field Trip to Spring Hill Farm in Massillon
June 12: Picnic at Meyers Lake - We will be having our annual picnic at the Marinar Island Clubhouse this year. As always please provide a covered dish and your own table settings. Program is Richard Haldi on the Battle of Meyers Lake.
July 10: Genealogical Show and Tell - If have you ever wanted to show off some artifact or stories from your family history to others then this is the time to do it. We will be having a business meeting, then our program will consist of members sharing family stories or other family heirlooms / momentos they bring along.
August 16: Field Trip to the Magnolia Flowering Mills – We are taking a field trip to the Magnolia Flowering Mills at 261 Main Street in Magnolia. Our tour will begin at Noon. If you want to shop in the store at the mill, please
arrive earlier as the store closes at noon and we won’t be able to make
any purchases after 12:00 p.m.

October 9: Ghost Stories from the Cemetery: Members are invited to come and share their cemetery stories with other members.
November 13: Annual Banquet: Our Annual banquet this year will be held a the Buehlers in Jackson Township. Our guest speaker will be from the Jackson Township Historical Society.
